ABOUT THE REC SOCCER PROGRAM
SCP Kenilworth Rec Soccer is offered to local and out of town residents between the ages of 3 through 9. SCP Coaches & volunteer parent coaches teach the fundamentals of soccer while placing the main focus on having fun, learning the game and fair play.
The program is run by SCP Youth Soccer in collaboration with the Kenilworth Rec Dept.
Our SCPYS Rec program will be playing in a small sided format and by similar age groups .
Each child MUST bring a paid of shin guards, cleats, and a water bottle to each practice/game.
Fall Rec 2024 Important Dates

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION $170
After early registration closes $185
Practice one time per week for 7 weeks. Practice will be held on weekday evenings, typically Monday through Thursday and time will be assigned by the coach. Practice will start no earlier then 5:30pm. Practice will be held on Kenilworth fields. Games are played on Saturday mornings between 9am and 12pm. This program focuses on player development and game awareness. Games will be played in a small side formats so players can maximize touches on the ball.

SYSL NJ is a semi-recreational league and is comprised of member clubs from the suburban New Jersey footprint of Union, Middlesex, Essex, and Somerset counties.
The league offers high quality, flighted competition, ranging from the purely recreational athlete through more competitive players that cannot make a full-time commitment to a rigorous travel soccer program.
SYSL NJ provides a supportive structure to foster development and recreation without abandoning the thrill of competition and thus provides a home for players at every skill level. Our league also uses a 25 Mile radius philosophy, from Mountainside, NJ,
Our league supports good sportsmanship at every level, fair play, and positive learning with a "Kids Remember Moments, Not Scores" mentality.
Little Stars
Ages 5 - 7 , Co-Ed

The program offers an introduction to soccer, with an emphasis on balance, coordination and confidence. Repetition, high energy and celebrating achievements are key components to our intro to soccer program. The children will enjoy the friendly soccer filled games. Our Mini Stars progress into out Little Stars program.
This is a co-ed program and will be held on Saturday mornings by SCPYS. This is a 7 week program. Start times can vary between 9am and 10am.
Includes size 3 ball and SCPYS shirt.
